Dope is used for painting directly onto prepared wood. Wood is prepared by applying primer, balsa fillercoat or sanding sealer to the surface and sanding to a smooth surface. Dope can also be applied directly to bare wool, but required much more paint since the unprepared wood absorbs the dope. Id is fast drying, light and can be applied with a brush without leaving stroke marks. All colors are gloss.
